Assignment Title: Avoiding Hidden Allergens & Prevent Cross Contamination
What I learned: I learned how to create an informational poster to be used in a hospital or restaurant setting. Skills gained by this assignment included creating a visually appealing poster that included the most vital information for the kitchen staff, while also empowering them.
Reflection to assignment: This assignment taught me how to pull out the most essential information regarding a topic and present that information in easy to understand terms. I also learned how to use PowerPoint to create tools other than electronic presentations.
Relevance to the profession: As a foodservice director or registered dietitian it important to be able to communicate information to your staff in an easy to understand manner that also imparts to them that they play an important role in patient/customer safety. By creating this poster, I feel that I have demonstrated these skills.
